Welcome to the Visiting Small Town Florida blog. Our intent is to make this the conduit for commentary on, and current information about what’s going on in Florida’s most interesting small towns – new restaurants, B&Bs, festivals, historical trivia, anything noteworthy about small-town Florida. Occasionally we’ll have guest blog posters, and we invite your responses and commentary. Bruce Hunt runs and edits the blog. Bruce is a native Floridian author, photographer, and illustrator living in Tampa. He has authored ten books on Florida travel and history, and is the author of the popular book series “Visiting Small Town Florida”. He has written and photographed numerous articles for newspapers and magazines, and spent five years as a regular feature writer and photographer for DuPont Registry Tampa Bay Magazine. His work has also appeared in the St. Petersburg Times, Tampa Tribune, Backpacker Magazine, Rock & Ice Magazine, Skydiving Magazine, Coastal Living Magazine, and Celebrity Car Magazine, among others. In addition he operates Bruce Hunt Images, an e-commerce website with over 1200 of his best images, available for publication and advertising businesses. “Visiting Small Town Florida, 3rd Edition” (Pineapple Press) released in 2011. Bruce’s most recent book “Seafood Lover’s Florida” (Globe Pequot Press) released in 2016.

you don;’ say how to acquire this book the is a great handbook and I would love to see more of the little towns. Also that post office pg 202 called Ochopee looks just like the one in LK Windemere (or was in Windemere) but was closed about 6 years ago. It sat right next to the Lake or a lake and on the highway. Went by the wayside I assume.
